Detailed "Aquaman" plot news has yet to officially surface but that does not stop fans from fishing for clues for to the upcoming DC Extended Universe film.

In a new set video shared by Pursue News, Amber Heard's stunt double Joanna Bennett is seen filming an intense rooftop chase scene. Heard plays Mera, Aquaman's (Jason Momoa) love interest.

In the video, Bennett is being chased by two Atlantean Commandos. Bennett runs across a roof before jumping to a lower roof. The soldiers are dressed in armor and are wielding what looks like weapons.

There is no information yet as to why Atlantean soldiers are going after Mera, or even who they are.

One theory is that they are members of Orm the Ocean Master's (Patrick Wilson) army.

The army was first spotted in San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) footage when Aquaman attempted to reason with the group — until he was dragged into battle.

In the comics, Mera was an exiled queen of Dimension Aqua. She is assisted by Aquaman in returning to her kingdom but she chooses to follow Aquaman to Atlantis, where they soon fall in love and get married.

"Aquaman" follows the story of Arthur Curry, who discovers he is the heir of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. The film is helmed by "The Conjuring" (2013) and "Insidious" (2010) director James Wan.

Wan previously described the film as a kind of "origin story" at SDCC 2017.

"Aquaman is an absolute bada–," Wan said. "This is the kind of movie that could not have been made five years ago."

"I want the audience to experience Atlantis in the way that Aquaman experiences it as well," he added.

"Aquaman" also stars Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, and Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry.

The film premieres in theaters on Dec. 21, 2018.
