A month after being spotted in the streets of Germany, the heavily camouflaged next-generation Audi A8 was reportedly seen at the Nürburgring motorsports complex in a town called Nürburg in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany for another performance testing.

While the automobile which is expected to come out in 2017 is extremely covered in decals, reports claim that the design of the upcoming vehicle is inspired by the 2014 Audi Prologue concept car. This does not come as a surprise, since the car designer of both the 2017 Audi A8 and the Audi Prologue is the car maker's design chief Marc Lichte.

The 2017 Audi A8 is expected to have a wide, sharp-angled single frame grille in the middle of the angular headlights located in front of the car. The back portion will feature a pair pf thin, wraparound tail-lights while its sides will have an upward facing sweep located about the sills.

Under the hood, the new 2017 Audi A8 is expected to have the usual V6 and V8 engines. While the automobile could still have the W12 option, it will also come out with a brand-new electric turbo technology to lessen the car's turbo lag. There are also some speculations that the next-generation Audi automobile could follow the plug-in hybrid trend that is currently doing well in the market today.

Some of the other expected main features of the next-generation Audi A8 includes the state-of-the-art organic LED headlight technology, the new gesture controls, as well as a 48V electrical system.

The German car maker is expected to release the next Audi A8 sometime in 2017, but the automobile is expected to be unveiled at this year's Paris Motor Show or at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It is also expected to come with a £63,520 price tag upon release.
