Youthwork Conference Wraps Up in Southport, Heads to Eastbourne

Youthwork the Conference wrapped up in Southport yesterday (10 to 12 November). The conference is now keen to inspire more youth workers in the upcoming gathering in Eastbourne, 17 to 19 November.

This year the conference explores and reimagines mission to the digital generation. The aim is to turn the obstacles into possibilities and the challenges into opportunities. 'The need is great but the possibilities are infinite.'

Taking the theme 'Infinite Possibilities - reimagining mission to the digital generation', speakers lined up include Andy Hickford, Russell Rook, Pete Greig, Gavin Calver, Katei Kirby and Jill Rowe. Worship in the Main Session for the Eastbourne conference will be Andy Flannagan.

In addition, Flannagan has offered to compose a song using the suggested lines that people post on the Youthwork community forum. People are encouraged to submit one or more lines of thanks, celebration, frustration, intercession and basically any words of relation to God.

Youthwork the Conference has been designed in consultation with youth workers and in response to feedback from previous years' delegates. With main plenary sessions, a wide range of seminars, opportunities for networking, prayer areas and an extensive exhibition and resource area, the conference gives the opportunity to celebrate, learn and equip people as youth workers.

Last year, around 1,700 youth leaders from across the UK attended Youthwork the Conference, held over two weekends at two venues.
