WWE 2015 rumors: Kurt Angle possibly returning?

Kurt Angle had his best years in the Word Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) but had to cut his stint short due to health reasons in 2006. Curiously and in the same year after he was granted an early release, Angle signed immediately with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling. He has since been with the WWE's rival company.

Angle spent eight memorable years in the WWE, holding up various championship belts include being the WWE Heavyweight Champion (2000–2001).

He is best known for his moves that include the Angle Slam and the Angle Lock, not to mention his continuous gloating that he was an Olympic Gold medalist. Angle played both face and heel but health reasons had kept him off shows and eventually from the WWE.

With regards to a return now that he has no plans to re-sign with TNA, Angle bares that while he is looking forward to such, the WWE doesn't seem to be that interested.

Angle admits that he had a good relationship with WWE CEO Vince McMahon before but it seems that he met a very different Vince McMahon.

In an article from Sports Illustrated published back in April:

"For the Vince McMahon who I knew, enough was never enough. He always wanted more. I don't know what was going on over there, but they even cancelled our meeting. I never went to see them. They didn't even sit me down and talk to me."

The WWE has a roster of stars who are well into their prime. That list includes the Undertaker, the Big Show, Sting, and a former TNA star as well in Samoa Joe.

And considering the WWE is looking for a way to jack up its ratings, getting back Angle could be a step in that direction.

For now, nothing is sure and if the WWE were to take back Angle, it may take a lot of convincing.

For the meantime, Angle will be finishing off his stint with TNA. He is scheduled to appear at a live event on Oct. 3 at Salem, Va.
