Last Sunday on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Kenya Moore's aunt Lori explained why she left the reunion without telling her. Meanwhile, Phaedra Parks, Kim Fields, Porsha Williams and Sheree Whitfield went to Washington D.C. as part of Phaedra's plan to promote her organization, Save Our Sons.

Lori told Kenya that the reason she left the reunion early was because of the way Kenya tried to get her mom, who is Lori's sister, to talk to her by showing up at her door unannounced. Lori said that while she loves her, she also loves her sister and that she shouldn't judge her for giving her up when she was a child. Kenya said that she wasn't judging her mother for giving her up to her paternal grandfather, but she said that she was hurt over the way that she was treated and that her mother did not want to speak with her. Lori advised Kenya to let go of the past and move on with her life, and Kenya tearfully said that she has just done that.

In her Bravo blog, Kenya opened up about her rocky relationship with her mother and said that she tried to approach her countless times.

"I begged that she would stop treating me as invisible," she said.

The former Miss USA also revealed that every attempt that she would make to get close to her mother "ended in her laughing in my face or cruelties to try to break my young spirit." Kenya also said that when she was 4 years old, her mother called her on the phone and "told me never to call her my mother."

Next Sunday, the Housewives will go to brunch in attempt to bond. But tensions will rise when the ladies start calling out each other on their appearances and their past behavior. In the preview for the episode, Kim looks put out at what someone said to her while Phaedra tries to ignore what everyone else is talking about.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
