'Star Wars: Episode 7' plot theories slammed by Oscar Isaac; speculations 'far off-base'

Considering how much of a behemoth the "Star Wars" universe is, it is not a shock to see an insane number of plot theories, both crazy and likely, sprout here and there, especially since the production of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" is blanketed with pure mystery. With tons of conjectures flying around, actor Oscar Isaac helped everyone to narrow them down at the least.

The actor, who plays the role of Poe Dameron, slammed speculations in a talk with Yahoo Movies.

"I can't speak for the cast and crew, I can just speak for myself, but for me I thought, 'Don't you want to wait so you can get the real thing?'" he said. "But it creates excitement for it. I don't think these little leaks necessarily ruined watching the trailer. And also, the [plot theories] that get that formulated based on these things — they couldn't be more far off-base."

How wild are those theories that led Isaac to call them "off-base"? Business Insider cites one where main characters look for Luke Skywalker after they chance upon his lost lightsaber. IDigital Times has one that claims John Boyega as the new "Force-sensitive" Luke Skywalker. Business Insider adds that his character will be an evil storm trooper turned good guy. The character of Adam Driver will be his main foe (well, basically in the whole story). Daisy Ridley's Ray will be "his Leia." Badass Digest has another speculation, where the plot is said to bear a resemblance to "A New Hope."

None of these seemed to have hit the mark. It looks like "Star Wars" fanatics will have to wait for the premiere of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" for all their questions to be answered. That would mean waiting until Dec. 18, 2015.
