Meanwhile, it has been revealed that tech giants Microsoft Corporation and Apple Inc. are planning to release the Surface Pro 4 and iPad Pro tablet, respectively, sometime before the end of the year.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 might be available in October, while the iPad Pro might arrive in the market the following month, according to recent rumors. Here's what to expect from these three new devices in terms of the specifications and features.

It was recently confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in 8-inch and 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display screen variants. These two versions will reportedly run on the new Android 5.0 version Lollipop operating system (OS) and will be powered by the company's Exynos 5433 processor, along with 3GB RAM and expandable 64GB built-in memory capacities.

GSM Arena reports that the Galaxy Tab S2 tablets will cost around US$515 to US$620.

Apple's upcoming iPad Pro device, on the other hand, is rumored to sport a very large 12.9-inch display screen with a 2732 x 2048 resolution that comes with Force Touch capability. In addition, this device is expected to run on the company's latest iOS 9 and might support near field communication (NFC) and USB Type-C port connecion.

For Microsoft's upcoming Surface Pro 4 device, it is rumored that it will be available in 12-inch and 14-inch display screen models along with 2K resolution. Last month, DigiTimes reported that the Surface Pro 4 will run on Microsoft's latest Windows 10 OS and might pack the Intel Skylake processor. Other hardware components for the Surface Pro 4 and iPad Pro devices still remain unclear as of this time.

Also, another new device by Apple, called the iPad Air 3, is expected to come out sometime this year as well. The iPad Air 3 is the successor to the iPad Air 2 released last October.
