Premier announces new website to target whole of church

Premier Christian Media Trust, the Christian media group that serves all denominations of the Christian faith, has redesigned its core website, premier.org.uk, in a bid to reach new parts of the church.

"It is well known that Premier have a strong Evangelical audience, but it is often forgotten that many of our supporters are from Anglican, Baptist, Catholic or other Christian backgrounds," premier.org.uk's Web Editor, Naomi Thatcher commented.

"While our programming on air and on Premier.tv reflects the diversity of our Christian audience, we felt that our main website, premier.org.uk could do more.

"The new site's design and content are intended to appeal to a much broader section of the Church, as well as being accessible to those with disabilities," Thatcher added.

The new premier.org.uk website allows users to access all areas of the media group including Premier Radio, Premier.tv, the magazines and Lifeline, from one place.

"As a media group, Premier holds a varied role in the Christian community," Chief Executive, Peter Kerridge said. "We believe that the new premier.org.uk will provide many of the resources we offer to Christians and the Church through one website."

Christians will be able to listen to Christian news on demand, read archived articles from Premier magazines, and watch the latest Christian programmes on Premier.tv.

Established in the early nineties, Premier Christian Media Trust began as Premier Christian Radio, broadcasting on medium wave to a Greater London audience. A series of magazine titles then joined and are currently Christianity Magazine, Youthwork Magazine, Christian Marketplace and Faithworks Magazine.

Premier Christian Radio also broadcast on the internet and later, Freeview, SKY, Virgin Media and London DAB. Two years ago, the media group launched Premier.tv, one of the first Christian IPTV channels in the UK.
