New Macbook Air 2014 release date, specs rumors and more

Just days ago, Apple released the hyped iPhone 6. Now, Apple is making rounds in the rumor mill again with what could be their latest laptop product: the MacBook Air 2014. Rumors spread like wildfire saying that the newly improved MacBook Air will be released by the end of the year.

Reports about the MacBook Air points to a holiday season release because it is expected to be the time when the Core M chips will arrive -- and it is said that the new MacBook Air will be powered by these chipsets. Previously, it has been reported that Apple could be the first to get a hold of the Intel Core M Chips.

BGR said in an early report in July that the 11-inch and 13-inch versions will likely arrive this year, and that a 12-inch version might come out in 2015. Latino Post reports that the 12-inch MacBook Air 2014 Retina may be fanless, lightweight, and generally more user-friendly compared to its previous model.

One feature being talked about is MacBook's retina display, which was predicted by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, as reported by Apple Insider last year.  Kuo said that the retina display is definitely something to look forward to because its "high resolution offers an outstanding visual experience." Even Extreme Tech says that the new retina display will be "inevitable."  The analyst likewise predicted an "ultra-slim clamshell form factor feature."

Do note that all of these are mere rumors, speculations and predictions at this point. Apple has not confirmed any of the news yet.
