New album from choristers of St Patrick's, Dublin

The choristers of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, are releasing a new album.

Dublin's Fair City is being launched with a free concert at the cathedral on 16 November.

The album is a collection of songs with special links to the cathedral. Four were written or arranged by cathedral musicians.

Others go back further, such as Handel's "How beautiful are the feet" from Messiah, which was first performed by members of both St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedral choirs.

The choristers are accompanied in the recording by harpist Dianne Marshall, guitarist Victoria Green and organists David Leigh and Harry Meehan.

At the concert, the choristers will perform several tracks on the album as well as additional songs, both sacred and secular.
