'Muhammad' baby boom seen as sign of non-violent jihad already ongoing in U.S.

The United States is in the grip of a "Muhammad" baby boom that has dire implications for the country, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), a Washington D.C.-based independent research organisation, has warned.

The U.S. does not have an official count of its Muslim residents since the federal government avoids counting people by religion.

However, the CIS said it was able to indirectly find a way to size up the growth of the Muslim population in the U.S. by looking at Social Security data on babies born with the name Muhammad, the most common name given to Muslim male newborns.

While the Social Security database offered only a small sample, the CIS was able to get a rough estimate on the exponential growth of second-generation Muslims in America, WND reported.

What the CIS found out was mind-boggling: In 1964 only 29 baby boys born in the U.S. were named Muhammad, the name of the Islamic prophet who lived in the seventh century. But by 2014 the number had soared to 2,931, a more than 100-to-one growth ratio, the CIS said in a report.

"A boy named Mohammed born here is likely to grow up in a Muslim environment and, at the same time, be a U.S. citizen," according to David North, author of the CIS report.

According to the sixth edition of the Columbia Encyclopedia (2000), Muhammad is likely the most common given name in the world. It is estimated that more than 150 million men and boys in the world bear the name Muhammad or one of its variations.

But the trend in America is relatively new, North said, adding that the various immigration programmes that have been put in place since 1965 have opened the flood gates for thousands of Muslim migrants from all corners of the globe to settle in the U.S.

The U.S. now takes in 1.1 million immigrants, legally, each year — an all-time record high — and those coming from the Middle East are among the fast-growing group, the CIS report said.

The Muslim population in the U.S. is estimated at between 3 million and 5 million.

The fertility rate for Muslim women is also more than double that of native-born American women, who have only 1.9 children per woman.

The growth of the Muslim population in the U.S. becomes alarming when taken in context with the findings made by the FBI in 2004.

That year, the FBI captured documents in a raid on a suspect's home in Falls Church, Virginia, showing that the Muslim Brotherhood plans to infiltrate and change American society from within, using liberal immigration programmes and the nation's own civil liberties against it, WND reported.

That document laid out a plan for Sunni Muslims to wage nonviolent jihad against the United States that would basically change American values by changing its people.

Dr. Mark Christian, a former Sunni Muslim who is an expert on the Quran, says this form of nonviolent jihad is rooted in the Muslim holy book.

"And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many locations and abundance," Christian quotes a verse from the Quran. "And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful" (Quran 4:100).

This explains why hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees leaving war-torn Iraq and Syria do not go to Saudi Arabia or other Gulf Arab states which are much nearer.

"Why did the Muslims move, as refugees, north and northwest instead of south (toward Saudi Arabia) and west (into North Africa)? Because those lands are already Islamic and do not need to be conquered," Christian says. "They also know that the cradle to grave benefits are in Europe and in America, therefore, their incomes would increase by a factor of 10 and they have to do nothing to receive and keep those benefits."

In fact, the prophet Muhammad himself was an immigrant, moving together with his army from Mecca to Medina and beyond in the 7th century to spread Islam by attacking and conquering vulnerable tribes.
