iPad Pro 2 release date news, specs rumors: Device set to land in March 2017

The iPad Mini 4 Apple

The iPad Pro 2 was absent during the Apple event last September, and it is getting fans all hyped up for the new tablet's release.

Last September, tech giant Apple unveiled the iPhone 7. During the Apple event, fans were expecting to get more news about the iPad Pro 2, but unfortunately, there were none.

Despite the lack of information about the iPad Pro 2, rumors suggest that the latest addition to the Apple tablet line up will come sometime in 2017 in three variants. The iPad Pro 2 is said to come with a small 7.9-inch display, a medium sized 10.5-inch display, and a large 12.9-inch display. All variants will be supported by an AMOLED screen.

The new iPad Pro 2 is also expected to sport a slimmer and lighter design that is said to sport a water-resistant body. The device will also allegedly come with a better navigation system that would significantly ease zooming, scrolling, and panning.

Moreover, since it is highly speculated that the upcoming Apple devices released after the iPhone 7 will borrow a couple of the iPhone 7's specs, the iPad Pro 2 can also be expected to come out of the box without the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for the tablet's innards, the iPad Pro 2 base model is said to be equipped with an A9X processor along with 16 GB of storage. On the other hand, the high-end models of the iPad Pro 2 will be running Apple's new A10X processor.

Furthermore, the new iPad Pro 2 will come with a newly improved Apple pen, like the one that came with the iPhone 7.

A new sound experience can also be expected from the iPad Pro 2 since it is speculated to come with a new quad microphone instead of the dual microphone.

The iPad Pro 2 is also rumored to be a tablet with fine camera specifications. It is said that the device will come with a 12MP rear camera coupled with a 5MP front camera with dual lens technology.

As of now, there is no official release date yet for the iPad Pro 2, but it is expected to come to the markets in March 2017.
