Even though Rockstar has yet to officially announce "Grand Theft Auto 6," fans are already eagerly anticipating the arrival of the franchise's next installment.

Fans have even begun to openly wonder about what the next game of the franchise might offer, and that's led to the emergence of some very interesting rumors.

One of the more prevalent rumors about the game suggests that it will feature the franchise's first female protagonist. Much like in "Grand Theft Auto 5," the female protagonist in the next game would just be one of three main characters to help diversify gameplay.

The "Grand Theft Auto" franchise is also well-known for featuring massive in-game maps, and the next offering is expected to continue that. The next game may even attempt to one-up its predecessors by offering the largest map that's ever been included in any "Grand Theft Auto" title.

Rumors have even suggested that "Grand Theft Auto 6" may feature the entirety of the United States as its in-game map, although this is not expected to be the case. Instead, the next game may feature a map made up of all the other ones featured in previous "Grand Theft Auto" titles.

Regardless of what specific map the next game features, it is still expected to be quite large, and getting around may become an even bigger challenge for players. In light of this, one rumored feature that may be included in order to help players get around faster is a new teleportation mechanic. If a teleportation feature will end up in the next "Grand Theft Auto" game, players can reportedly expect it to be similar to the one included in the 2015 "Need for Speed" title, according to Neurogadget.

Unfortunately, fans may not know exactly what will be included in the next game for a while.

The latest rumors suggest that "Grand Theft Auto 6" may not be released until 2020, meaning it may be a while before players get a chance to actually know what the next game will be like.
