|TOP|The Church Pastoral Aid Society has announced it will launch a new resource pack to equip church leaders in aiding the healthy growth of their churches.

The new resource pack, Growing Leaders, will be backed up by a programme of training days to be held nationwide aimed at helping each church find and develop the leaders passionate for God’s work.

Growing Leaders will be run over a year and combine teaching, mentoring and practical application with the aim of re-focusing leadership as rooted in Christ.

The resource has already won the praise of those lucky enough to get a sneak preview.|AD|

“This is no standard ‘course’,” said Dan Clarke of Holy Trinity Platt, Manchester. “The combination of group work, teaching, mentoring, and time proved a winner.”

He added: “The material was of consistently high standard, easy to use and works well with people from a variety of backgrounds. I would have no hesitation recommending it to others.”

Charlie Nobbs, Grange Park church plant, Northampton, said of the new resource: “Fantastic. It really hits the mark – I’m going to do it all over again for another group of leaders!”

The Growing Leaders pack, which includes leaders’ notes and resources, handouts and training videos, is currently in its final stages of production and will be available from 21 January 2006.

CPAS also announced three further dates for Liquid Worship in spring 2006 following the popularity of what was supposed to be a one-off event when it was held in July this year.

The course aims to help churches familiarise themselves with and incorporate a variety of styles within their services.
