The camps of Canelo 'Saul' Alvarez and Miguel Cotto have yet to make their fight official but it seems that the Mexican boxer expect the fight to push through anyway.

And to make sure he is well-prepared for it, Alvarez has already started training in anticipation of the fight which will likely be set this Fall.

The camps of both fighters will sit down next week to discuss the terms of the fight as well as the official date and venue.

Alvarez was on vacation recently and is now trying to loosen up by doing morning runs and light workouts at the gym.

Alvarez is coming off a sensational victory over Jame Kirkland last month. The Mexican fighter knocked out Kirkland in the third round.

Cotto is likewise coming off an impressive win, disposing of Daniel Geale in the fourth round by TKO.

It was after the fight that Cotto called out Alvarez, a fight that would have happened last May 2 had negotiations prospered. The Cotto and Alvarez teams sat down as early as December but weren't able to come to an agreement. Both went their separate ways and finished off their respective opponents in dominant performances.

And now, the two are on the negotiation table which the prospect of seeing the fight happen feasible this time around.

Golden Boy promoter Oscar Dela Hoya believes that a Cotto vs. Alvarez fight will be a better draw compared to the disappointing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao last May 2. Mayweather won via unanimous decision.

For Dela Hoya, the Cotto vs. Alvarez fight promises to be better and reasonable as far as paying to watch it. Apparently he was referring to the ridiculous PPV prices and tickets that one had to pay in order to watch the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight.
