The 'Bachelor' 2015 - Chris Soules confirmed as next bachelor

It was a toss-up between Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Chris Soules on who will be "The Bachelor" 2015. And now it has been confirmed that Soules beat Luyendyk to it. Soules was a fan favorite back in season 8 and many are cheering about the good news.

ABC confirmed the news and Luyendyk also said that he is no longer in the running for "The Bachelor" Season 19. Luyendyk gave a very telling hint on his Twitter account by saying, "I'm not the Bachelor, have fun on the farm people." Everyone knows who this farm owner is, and it's Soules who owns a farm in Iowa.

For Luyendyk, this isn't the first time that "The Bachelor" was taken from him. The first time was when ABC picked Sean Lowe instead of him as Lowe has a more wholesome image. This time, Soules was picked because of his sweet appeal.

Soules was also well-loved by fans in Andi Dorfman's "The Bachelorette" season. Soules came in third. As for Luyendyk, he came in second during Emily Maynard's season in 2012 and he was considered alongside Nick Viall.

Despite not being picked again, Luyendyk did thank his fans for their support. He posted a follow-up tweet that said, "It wasn't meant to be, and I'm okay with it. Happy I can move forward."

The spoilers for "The Bachelor" Season 19 already said weeks ago that Soules will be the Bachelor. However, it wasn't cast in stone yet since ABC had not made any confirmation .. until now.

"The Bachelor" Season 19 will air in the winter of 2015 and there is no exact release date yet. Nonetheless, fans can expect a whole lot of Soules in the new season and hopefully, he'll find his perfect match.
