At least three people have been killed at the megachurch complex of megachurch pastor and televangelist TB Joshua in Nigeria.
According to the AFP news agency, dozens were trapped when the two-storey guesthouse collapsed.
There are conflicting reports about the death toll, with some news outlets putting it at 15.
ThisDayLive said the structure was part of the headquarters of Joshua's Synagogue of All Nation Church in Ikotun, Lagos.
The newspaper reported that those rescued from the rubble included three children.
One construction worker told of mistaking the sound of the collapse for an attack by Boko Haram, a group of militants attacking churches, homes and civic buildings across northern Nigeria.
"We first thought Boko Haram had finally succeeded in coming to Ikotun," the labourer told the newspaper.
Services at the Lagos church reportedly attract thousands of people and the church has a second branch in Accra, Ghana.
TB Joshua Ministries said in an official communication: "The few people that were there are being rescued. What you wish to others, God wishes to you. Nothing makes us love a person as much as praying for him. The more I love you, the more I will pray for you."
