Apple has announced that it will be holding a company event next week. Industry bservers and tech fans have already marked Wednesday, Sept. 9, on their calendars for the next big Apple event.

However, as Apple is a global brand, most of its worldwide fans will not have a chance to go and participate live when the event kicks off at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California. Nonetheless, the invite posted by the company has some footnotes about a livestream, confirming that fans can also watch the event online. Like all previous major events by the company stretching back two years, the event next week will be presented at Apple's micro-site. Aside from a live, real-time video stream from the event, the micro site will also be presenting takes from the event such as still images, choice keynotes, and quotes.

Meanwhile, as with any Apple livestream event, some requirements should be met to get the most out of the presentation. Apple fans will, of course, need to update their devices to iOS 7.0 or later. For those who want to watch the event on their Apple TVs, the devices would need to be at least second- or third-gen with 6.2 software or later. Mac users need to update their Safari to 6.0.5 or later, and make sure that their OS X platform is v10.8.5 or later.

Previously, Apple event livestreams were only for Apple devices and those using Windows-based units were excluded. However, with the release of Microsoft's newest Windows 10 platform, Apple has made an exception. Thus, those who are currently on Windows 10 can also watch the livestream via Microsoft's Edge browser.

Apple is keeping the details about the event under wraps, but it is expected that the Cupertino-based company will unveil their newest flagships, particularly a new iPhone or two, plus the rumored overhauled Apple TV and a new iPad as well.
