|PIC1|Two-time Diamond Award Duet of the Year winners Amazed added another award to their ever-increasing resumé. The up and coming duo was awarded their first Female Group of the Year award at the SGN Music Awards earlier this week.

Cathie Marsh of Amazed said, "We were so honored just to be nominated! We appreciate everyone who logged on to the site and placed a vote for us. This award means so much to us!"

The SGN Music Awards were handed out on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in Smyrna, Tennessee before a capacity crowd at River of Life Church. In addition, Amazed was a featured performer at the event. The duo performed their hit single "Even On Monday."

"We were scared to death to sing in front of so many of our favorite artists as well as industry professionals," mentioned Tamie Perkins. "It was a thrill for us to be a part of such a great event. We thank SoGospelNews for presenting us, the new kids on a block, with such a wonderful opportunity."

This was Amazed's second nomination for Female Group of the Year. The group was previously nominated last year.

The nominees for the SGN Music Awards were chosen by the staff of SoGospelNews.com, and the winners were chosen by fans of Southern Gospel music and readers of the popular site.
