Alcatel officially introduced its Windows 10 version of IDOL 4S. The smartphone will be offered via T-Mobile starting Nov. 10 and will come with a free VR headset.

The Alcatel IDOL 4S Windows 10 mobile device looks exactly the same with its Android Marshmallow-based cousin on the outside. It offers a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen and 2.5D glass, both front and back. This is then accented by a Halo Gold metal trim.

Beneath the covers lay the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (2x2.15GHz + 2x1.6GHz) chip that comes with Adreno 530 GPU, paired with 4 GB of RAM. It also includes 64 GB internal storage and a maximum of 128 GB external space via a microSD card.

For its camera, it contains a 21 MP main camera that comes equipped with a Sony IMX230 sensor, while the front offers an 8MP camera that features an 84-degree wide-angle lens. Underneath the main camera is the fingerprint security sensor that also works with Windows Hello.

Additionally, the Windows version of the Alcatel IDOL 4S comes with a 3000 mAh battery that can provide up to 20 hours of talk time, a USB Type-C port for charging and comes equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The device also offers two 1.2-watt speakers that are fitted with Hi-Fi audio technology for a better multimedia experience.

The latest smartphone device will be available starting Nov. 10 in T-Mobile stores across the country, and it will come with a $469.99 (SRP). For a limited time, and while supply last, new purchases will also include the IDOL 4S VR Googles. New customers will also receive a free 45-day trial for Hulu Plus, 30-day trial for Microsoft's music service Groove, and a free copy of "Halo: Spartan Assault " for Windows 10 Mobile.

Steve Cistulli, president and general manager for Alcatel, North America, said, "We're proud to collaborate with T-Mobile and Microsoft to launch the IDOL 4S with Windows 10, delivering a value-packed smartphone experience that is unmatched in the U.S. market, finally bringing to life the full potential of what a high-performance Windows 10 smartphone experience can be."
