Episode 5 of CBS' spin-off series "Young Sheldon" centers on Sheldon's (Iain Armitage) mission to prove someone from a prestigious organization wrong. The fifth episode of the series, titled "A Patch, a Modem, and a Zantac," will air on Nov. 30 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
According to the plot summary of the episode, Sheldon's science research in school will be disregarded by a representative from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA. There are no further details about the specific science research the episode will focus on.
A promo video of the upcoming episode was also released. The video shows Sheldon wanting to buy a computer in order get to NASA. Sheldon also applies for a second mortgage and is asked to verify his credentials as a 9-year-old kid. The episode will feature several guest stars including Dave Florek, Karly Rothenberg, Jason Kravits, and Brian Stepanek.
The second episode featured a representative from a major entity in the United States. In this episode, titled "Rockets, Communists, and the Dewey Decimal System," Sheldon was visited by agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation about uranium.
The most recent episode revealed four things about Sheldon's childhood. First, Sheldon was part of the football team as a statistics genius, second, he was popular for a short span of time, third, he went to a party, and last, he got a B+ in one of his math tests.
The score ratings of "Young Sheldon" released by critics have been consistent so far. The comedy series received a 74 percent score rating from Rotten Tomatoes and 6.3 out of 10 from IMDb.
Armitage's portrayal of a young Sheldon Cooper was well received by both critics and fans. There is still no synopsis released for the seventh episode and other upcoming episodes of the series.
