With the anticipated arrival of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in the coming weeks, alleged renders of the smartphone have been leaked. The Chinese handset maker has yet to reveal the specs and features of Redmi Note 4's successor, but based on the recent leaks, the Redmi Note 5 will be quite different with 18:9 display aspect ratio.

As reported by Digit, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 could follow the trend in premium smartphones this year by sporting a full view display. The most recent leaked photo posted by a Weibo user reveals the device's tall display with 18:9 screen ratio. The images also show that the bezels are thinner as compared in Redmi Note 4.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 render leaked with 18:9 aspect ratio is consistent with the spotted listing on Chinese retailer website JD.com. According to Business Insider, this also supports the leaked details from China's official certification department, TENAA, which show the Redmi Note 5 having an all-screen front display and taller 18:9 screen design.

Aside from the display features, the leaked Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 renders offer a closer look at the smartphone's inner parts. One photo shows that the handset will sport 5.99-inch FHD+ resolution screen with 2160x1080 pixels. The Redmi Note 5 will also have a single lens 12MP rear camera, although earlier reports suggest that the smartphone could boast a dual-lens setup.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 under the hood. This is the same chip used by the Redmi Note 4 and Mi A1 devices. However, there are speculations that the smartphone will include the recently released Snapdragon 636 processor. Reports suggest that Qualcomm's latest mid-tier chipset is a perfect match for Redmi Note 5's full-scale FHD+ display. It was rumored that the handset will be ready for shipping before the end of 2017 as the Snapdragon 636 is now available.

The Weibo leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will highlight the MIUI 9, an older user interface version based on the Android Nougat OS.
