While Xiaomi is all set to launch the new Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone this week, more speculations about the upcoming device continue to come out.

Reports have spotted a leaked photo on Weibo showing the device's rear cover that hints at the possibility of having a dual camera at the back. The cover also shows a vertical cut-out that teases a LED flash alongside the device's primary dual camera.

Aside from the speculated camera features, the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphone also appears to have curved edges, just like its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi 5.

But while the Chinese smartphone manufacturer remains mum about the rumored features, Xiaomi emphasized the number "6" several times in a promo video with the translated tagline that says, "You waited for 203 days, we waited for seven years." It could mean that the device will come out with 6 GB of RAM upon release.

Other speculated features of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship phone include its 5.1-inch display screen with full HD resolution. However, other reports claim that it might have a 2K display. Moreover, other leaks claim that it will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU.

As for the cameras, the device is rumored to have a 12-megapixel rear camera with 5X Optical Zoom capabilities, paired with a 7-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie shots. On the other hand, some speculations claim that the device could possibly come in 64 GB or 128 GB storage variants upon release.

The new Xiaomi Mi 6 is also expected to come with an IP67 or IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is also expected to eliminate the 3.5-mm audio jack and replace its connectivity port with a USB Type-C port.

Xiaomi is scheduled to unveil the new Xiaomi Mi 6 on Wednesday, April 19.
