With Matt Hardy still in the process of attempting to "delete" Bray Wyatt, the woken one might already have sights set on another World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar.
John Cena recently posted a photo of Matt Hardy during his Impact wrestling days, to which Hardy took notice and acknowledged Cena with a tweet saying "Brother Felix, how wonderfully woken of your stouthearted soul."
By "Felix" he was referring to Cena's full name, which is John Felix Anthony Cena.
While it isn't really clear whether there was any form of animosity between the exchange, Hardy's "Woken" character is known to be as unpredictable as he is eccentric; Cena, on the other hand, is known to tease his fans with ambiguous social media posts.
A feud between the two will also be a good idea as Cena is still the standard bearer for the WWE, so a win for Hardy will certainly propel his character to greater success much like he had on Impact, especially since the two have never had a significant feud with each other.
Hardy, as his original self, returned with his brother Jeff as a surprise entry at Wrestlemania 33 in the fatal-4-way tag team match for the world tag team championship, which they won.
Jeff, however, suffered a torn rotator cuff back in September 2017 had to undergo surgery, leaving Matt no choice but to compete in singles competition. But by November of the same year, the rights to Hardy's popular "Broken" gimmick was finally obtained by the WWE after a lengthy legal battle, allowing hardy to use the character once again.
Hardy emerged with his broken gimmick after a loss to Bray Wyatt, interrupting the latter's promo and announcing himself to be "Woken" and vowing to "delete" Wyatt.
The feud between the two is expected to continue for the weeks ahead, with a possible clash in this month's Royal Rumble pay per view. If Hardy wins, then he will have a clear shot at Cena if he chooses, provided that the "Cenation" leader doesn't win the Royal Rumble match and headline Wrestlemania 34.
