After The Undertaker lost to Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) universe thought that it was the last time they would ever see "The Phenom" in the ring. However, recent speculations emerge that such might not be the case.

After the match, The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, symbolically laid down his coat and top hat in the center of the ring in what fans thought to be his final salute after an illustrious WWE career that spanned 25 years. The Wrestlemania 33 crowd became a sea of mixed emotions when some of the fans were visibly upset with the loss and many were brought to tears with the thought of seeing the wrestling legend leave the business for good.

So, was that really the last ride for The Undertaker?

The WWE itself does not think so. In fact, his confirmed appearance for the 25th anniversary of "Monday Night Raw" only strengthened recent rumors that the company is setting him up for one last match, and there is no other stage fit for his last outing than Wrestlemania 34 in 2018.

So far, nothing official has been reported regarding his appearance, although many people have speculated that he might give a farewell speech. There is also the possibility that he will be announced as the first inductee in the 2018 Hall of Fame since he will be joined on "Raw" by Hall of Famers Ric Flair, Bret Hart and Mick Foley.

As reported by Inquisitr, The Undertaker recently underwent a successful hip replacement surgery to address an injury he sustained even before his match with Reigns. If he gets booked to wrestle at Wrestlemania 34, he would already have gotten a significant time to heal and prepare.

The prospect of The Undertaker wrestling for one last time is a very exciting one, and if the WWE universe will send off one the greatest in-ring performers of all time, it should be in a match against this generation's best.

Many fans are already making a shortlist of possible opponents The Undertaker could face. The names include Braun Strowman, AJ Styles, Finn Balor and Roman Reigns, among others.
