Fans of the wresting game franchise from 2K Sports have new reasons to celebrate as a new DLC pack becomes available for the current installment in the series, "WWE 2K16."
According to an announcement posted on WrestleZone, the "Future Stars Pack" for "WWE 2K16" is now available for all versions of the title. This means that players can download the new expansion for the older-gen PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, as well as the current-gen Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
In a press statement, 2K Sports said that as part of the new DLC expansion, "'The 'Future Stars Pack' features five new playable WWE and NXT Superstars, including Samoa Joe, Blake, Murphy and Los Matadores (Diego & Fernando)." The new pack has a price tag of $7.99.
In addition, 2K Sports also reiterated that the new "Future Stars Pack" is also part of the "WWE 2K16" Season Pass for $24.99. Aside from the new DLC, the Season Pass also offers other content for the game as bundled packs, including a mix of DLC packs and upcoming content like the "New Moves" pack, "Legends Pack," and the "2015 Hall of Fame Showcase."
The Season Pass also features a surprise addition to the DLC list, the "Arnold 'The Terminator' Schwarzenegger Pack" that lets players unlock two playable versions of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 from his two films, "The Terminator" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
Meanwhile, in connection to new content, 2k Sports shot down rumors that AJ Styles, who appeared in the recently concluded Royal Rumble, will be added as a DLC character. However, 2K Sports is not closing its doors on a next batch of DLC. According to the publisher, "AJ won't be available in 'WWE 2K16' as all DLC was locked in ages ago. Going forward, we'll have to wait and see!"
