The latest official trailer for the CW's supernatural drama series "The Originals" is now released, and the teaser shows everything that the fans would like to see in season 5. The show will bid farewell after the fifth season, and it should be expected that the upcoming chapter will be filled with huge twists and turns. Although, the highlight of "The Originals" will probably be the reunion of the Mikaelsons, the family of the first vampires.
As reported by Digital Spy, the latest trailer for "The Originals" season 5 has a lot in store for the beloved characters of the show, most especially the Mikaelson siblings. The huge takeaway from the trailer is that the reunion of the Original vampires is inevitable, as there are several scenes in which the siblings, Niklaus (Joseph Morgan), Rebekah (Claire Holt), Elijah (Daniel Guilles), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) are together.
After all, the phrase "always and forever" lives on even after an unfortunate circumstance in the season 4 finale forced the Mikaelsons to live far away from each other. This is due to the powerful and malevolent entity known as The Hollow, whose soul was split into fragments and locked inside the immortal bodies of the Mikaelsons. They must remain separated for all eternity, or else The Hollow will break free and unleash its wrath.
It is possible that the Mikaelson witch, Freya, has finally figured out a way to overpower The Hollow so that her siblings can stay together once again.
Also, there is a chance that the big Mikaelson reunion in "The Originals" season 5 is due to the teenage Hope (Danielle Rose Russell). By this time, Hope's power may have already flourished, and as seen in the trailer, Niklaus' hybrid daughter is truly a force to reckon with. It is a good thing that Hope is determined to use her immense power to help her family, and she will stop at nothing until all of them will be reunited.
"The Originals" season 5 will premiere on April 20th at 9 p.m. EST on the CW.
