The script for "The Incredibles 2" has been completed, and production on the film is moving ahead, indicating that the movie will be hitting its 2019 release.

Director Brad Bird has spoken with Entertainment Weekly, and he detailed that "The Incredibles 2" would surprise fans of the original film as it is not going to be as predictable as most sequels go. He also confirmed that the movie is well underway and is entering production, hinting that work on the script has been finished.

"I don't like unwrapping presents before Christmas," he explained when he didn't share any spoilers. "It's very actively moving, and we're excited about it. We're trying to take it in some new directions," the director added.

As of the moment, very little is known about the story of "The Incredibles 2," and the last time director Brad Bird gave an update, he said that the film would not just rely on the popular conventions of superhero movies like "The Avengers." It would still focus on the family dynamics and characters that made the first film a critical hit.

The report also points out that the superhero genre is very different today than it was back in 2004, when the original film came out, as the only really popular attempts back then were "Spider-Man" and the "X-Men" films. Today the genre has grown into one of the most successful ones in Hollywood, with several films like "Avengers" amassing over $1 billion.

With regards to the film's villain, speculations suggest that Syndrome might return to exact revenge. It is also suggested that a grown-up Jack-Jack may betray his family as he attempts to find his own path. Other theories claim that Dash may become a villain as his rivalry with Jack-Jack grows.

Bird did not confirm nor deny any of these rumors, but it is expected that more details will emerge in 2018 when the first trailer and more promotional images for the film are released.

"The Incredibles 2" is scheduled for release on June 21, 2019.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
