In the next episode of "The Gifted," the mutants, led by Thunderbird (Blair Redford) and Eclipse (Sean Teale), attempt to rescue the captured powered beings from Sentinel Services.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "outfoX," was released just recently and showed Thunderbird meeting with Eclipse, Polaris (Emma Dumont), Blink (Jamie Chung), Sage (Hayley Lovitt), Dreamer (Elena Satine), and Esme (Skyler Samuels) in their hideout to discuss how they are going to rescue their fellow mutants. "We are going to get one shot at this. We can't miss," Thunderbird says to his team with concern. It seems that Polaris is a bit worried about the mission but her boyfriend Eclipse reassures her and says, "I will protect you." Polaris was caught by Sentinel Serivces previously and suffered at their hands. It appears that she is still going through some trauma from that terrible experience.

Later, Blink, Polaris, Dreamer, Lauren Strucker (Natalie Alyn Lind), and her brother Andy (Percy Hynes White) manage to infiltrate the Sentinels' facility where the mutant prisoners are being kept. They proceed as planned but are discovered by Agent Jace Turner (Coby Bell). "They know we're here. Run!" Blink warns everyone in her communication device. They all start running through the corridors but are trapped. Lauren and Andy then decide to combine their powers by holding hands to hold off the Sentinels. It remains to be seen if they will be able to get out their sticky situation.

In the last episode, Lauren's dad Reed visited his estranged father Otto (Raymond J. Barry) to uncover secrets about their family's power. His dad revealed that Lauren and Andy would become more powerful if they combined their abilities. Their effect would be more devastating.

"The Gifted" season 1 episode 9 will air on Monday, Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. EST on Fox.
