Bethesda Softworks has been busy lately with the DLCs for "Fallout 4" and the recent launch of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition." The company did state a few months back that they will be working on "The Elder Scrolls VI" someday, and now, rumors have surfaced that they aim to launch it by 2019.

According to a report from Neurogadget, the game may focus on a campaign around the Argonian race. For those unfamiliar with the franchise, the Argonians are lizardfolk often associated with thieves and marshes. However, it is also stated that the game will take place in Valenwood, home of the elves.

The report further states that Bethesda is likely working on the project in secret. It is possible that work has already begun for "Elder Scrolls VI," but no announcement is going to be made until the game is within three to six months of release.

Fans will take note that "Fallout 4" had been in development for years but was only announced just six months shy of its release. "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" was also announced just a few months prior to its release. It is possible that Bethesda will do the same for "Elder Scrolls VI."

According to Game N Guide, it is even possible that Bethesda launched "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" to gather feedback from the fans. This feedback will help them determine what needs to be included, changed, and improved in the next main entry in the series.

Unfortunately, "Skyrim Special Edition" has been met with mixed reviews. The game has improved graphics, but it still suffers from framerate issues, a lack of strong mod support on PS4, poor audio quality compared to the original, and numerous bugs and glitches that were present even in the original version of the game.

Bethesda has yet to acknowledge if the game is already in development and if it would indeed come out before the end of the decade.
