Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) have been dating for several seasons, but they have never been shown living together. Now that Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) have moved in together season 10, episode 4 will finally see Amy move in to live with Sheldon as his new roommate.

Before the show premiered, an interview with executive producer Steve Molaro revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Amy would be doing an experiment with Sheldon with regards to their new living arrangement since Sheldon needs a new roommate, given that Leonard now lives with Penny.

"I'm stressing the word experiment and it's something that would they even consider it? Well, usually it's a good way to trick Sheldon into doing things is by framing it in terms of science," Molaro explained.

The synopsis for episode 4, which is titled "The Cohabitation Experimentation," states that Amy's apartment is flooded, and she will then propose an experiment to Sheldon which involves her moving in with him for a while. This may be a ploy for Amy to test if Sheldon is ready to live with her for the long-term.

Amy and Sheldon are not the only ones experimenting, however, as the synopsis also revealed that Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) want to learn the gender of their baby. However, things get complicated when Rajesh (Kunal Nayyar) learns the gender before they do. This gets both Howard and Bernadette upset.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is touted to be the last season for the show or the beginning of the end if the show is renewed for one or two more seasons. Because of this, it is highly speculated that all the loose threads, such as Howard's father and Amy's long-term relationship goals with Sheldon, will be finalized prior to the show's end.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 episode 4 is scheduled to air on Oct. 10.
