"Steven Universe" season 4 has just gone on hiatus given that the series has just aired episode 7 with no announcement of a schedule for the next set of episodes. However, it is expected that when the series returns, it will see the character, Onion, step into a much larger role.

Episode 7 revealed that Onion had several secret friends, and they went on an adventure with Steven as part of their celebration for the end of summer, with Steven promising that they would meet again and get to hang out the next year.

As stated in a report from ChattSportsNet, the character may become a more pivotal character in the future episodes like "Gem Harvest." The episode is rumored to feature the Gems kidnapping Peridot, and Steven may rely on Onion's aid in organizing a rescue mission.

Cartoon Network has yet to confirm if Onion is indeed getting a larger role in future episodes or if this information should only be considered as pure speculation.

As pointed out in a report from Mobile N Apps, the unaired episodes include the aforementioned "Gem Harvest," "Tiger Philanthropist," and "Beach Shorts." The report continues to explain that the exact order of these episodes are still unknown as the studio has shuffled their order from the original sequence.

The studio may reportedly have shuffled their sequence in order to prevent spoilers and leaks of other details online. The three aforementioned episodes were meant to be aired earlier, but "Onion Gang" and "Last One Out of Beach City" took their place when the episodes were reorganized.

As it stands, there are no official announcements regarding when the next Steven Bomb may take place, and it may be months before Cartoon Network reveals the schedule for the next set of episodes. Fans speculate that the show will return in late October or November, but this has not yet been confirmed.
