Sony and Google will soon be populating the market with their own newly released phones, and it's time for consumers to see which ones they should consider spending money on.
This time around, it will be Sony's Xperia Z5 Compact and Google's Nexus 5 2015 that will be going head to head to see which phone is superior.
Starting off with the processors, Sony's offering will be sporting a Snapdragon 810 64 bit octa-core processor that will be paired up with 2 GB of RAM, while Google's offering will have a Snapdragon 620 octa-core processor that will be backed up by 3 to 4 GB of RAM, according to Gotta Be Mobile. It's worth noting that the processor specs for Google's Nexus 5 2015 are not confirmed yet, so the phone could still end up wielding a better or perhaps even inferior model when it is eventually out.
Moving on to internal storage, Sony's Xperia Z5 Compact has 32 GB of available memory and that can be expanded all the way up to 200 GB with the use of a microSD card. Google's Nexus 5 2015 will reportedly have two variants, with one featuring 32 GB of internal storage and the other one doubling that at 64 GB.
Next up are the cameras, and Sony's new phone has a 23-megapixel main camera paired up with a front shooter at 5 megapixels. On the other hand, Google's upcoming release will have a 13-megapixel main camera that is complemented by one up front at 4 megapixels.
In terms of displays, Sony's Xperia Z5 Compact has a 4.6-inch HD display while the Nexus 5 2015 has one slightly larger at 5.2 inches that is said to either be P-OLED HD or Quad HD.
Both phones are expected to have some kind of fingerprint sensor.
Sony's Xperia Z5 Compact will be running the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system (OS) out of the box, while Google's Nexus 5 2015 is expected to feature the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS right from the start.
With all of these details in hand, consumers can now decide which between the two phones is worthy of being purchased.
