San Diego Chargers vs Jacksonville Jaguars live stream (CBS): Watch NFL football 2016 online

The San Diego Chargers and the Jacksonville Jaguars will play one another in one of five late afternoon starts in Week 2 of the NFL 2016 regular season. The game has a scheduled start time of 4.25 p.m. ET and takes place from the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through live stream via the link below.

The Chargers got their season off to a disappointing start in Week 1. In a tense game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chargers outplayed their hosts at the Arrowhead Stadium for the entire first half, going in at the break with a healthy 21-3 lead.

However, the third quarter showed signs that the Chiefs were still fighting, and a dramatic capitulation from the Chargers defense in the final quarter allowed the Chiefs to score 17 points to draw level and force overtime.

After all their hard work in a tight game the Chargers ultimately opened the door for the Chiefs, and San Diego will have left Kansas City with a bitter taste in the mouth after losing things in overtime.

The Chargers will have been disappointed with the way in which their offense was locked down in the second half; they only managed two field goals through the final two periods before overtime, and they looked short of ideas on how to break down the Chiefs defense.

The defense will also be a concern, as the way they allowed Kansas City back into the game in the final quarter will have been hugely disappointing.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars looked like a much improved side from recent seasons as they hosted the Green Bay Packers for their opening game. Against one of the strongest franchises in the league, the Jaguars held their own throughout, and were ultimately unlucky to lose out 23-27. Through the four quarters the Jaguars only lost the second quarter, and even though they lost they will believe they showed enough last week to be optimistic for this season.

Jacksonville will believe they can not only compete with the Chargers today but they will have belief that they can claim their first win of the season today as well.

Earlier this week on Thursday Night Football the New York Jets achieved their first win of the season as they defeated their in-state rivals, the Buffalo Bills 37-31.

The Jets had opened up their season with a disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, where they looked like they were still in pre-season. However, the Jets woke up on Thursday night, and put on a much more explosive display.

Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick completed an impressive 24 of 34 passes for 374 yards as he took apart the Bills' secondary with the help of wide receivers Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa.

Decker put on a stellar performance with six catches and a touchdown, and moved to 18 straight games recording at least 80 receiving yards or a touchdown.

Marshall meanwhile also had a fantastic game, recording six catches for 101 yards. He did give the Jets a scare in the second quarter when he went down with a knee injury. Marshall made a 15 yard reception but went down under Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Marshall was down on the field for several minutes.

Marshall said after the game: "I thought I was done. I thought I was going to be finishing in my backyard in Florida."

However, even though he departed the field with the help of trainers, he returned to the game and continued to tease the Bills' defense.

Fitzpatrick later said, "Brandon is one of the tougher guys you'll ever see. They were looking at his knee, and I didn't think it was good. To see him on the ground in pain, I knew something was wrong. But then, when he stepped back in the huddle later on, it was a big surprise, but relief as well."

Tyrod Taylor tried to get the Bills offense going, and completed 18 of 30 for 297 yards and three touchdowns, however, Buffalo were just too inconsistent throughout the night and lacked efficiency in their play.

Week 2 continues today and the San Diego Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars will take to the field to start at 4.25 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through live stream by clicking here.
