Samsung recently announced that the latest version of their affordable Galaxy tablet series is coming to the U.S. next month. The South Korean tech giant confirmed that the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) will arrive in the country's markets on Nov. 1.

As reported by GSMArena, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) will come in two color variants, namely black and silver. Even as an entry-level tablet, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is presented as a device for the family. The tablet is installed with Parental Controls and Kids Mode, which will be useful for parents keeping the contents accessed by their children in check. There are also a number of app features that the kids will love, including the $100 worth of premium games, films, books, and TV series that suit their interests.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also comes with free Value Packs, plus free three months access to YouTube Red with exclusive movies and TV shows. Users can enjoy watching videos to the fullest without any ad contents.

As the name suggests, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) sports an 8-inch display with 1,280x800 screen resolution and 480 nits brightness. According to Phone Arena, the tablet's touchscreen and graphics feature does not compare with the likes of Samsung's premium gadgets, mainly due to Galaxy Tab A's cheaper price tag. The tablet will run the Android Nougat 7.1.1 version out of the box, although it remains to be seen if it can support the latest Android Oreo 8.0 update.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has a 5,00mAh battery, which can last for up to 14 hours of non-stop video playback time. Going to the camera department, the tablet sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing image sensor. The gadget has a USB Type-C support, and it can connect to a wireless network via Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.2.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) costs $229.99. People can purchase the table online via Samsung's website.
