While Samsung has yet to officially confirm the Galaxy S7's development, hardcore fans are already expecting the follow-up in the South Korea-based company's premium Galaxy S series.

The latest rumors suggest that Samsung is readying three iterations of the Galaxy S7 to be rolled out simultaneously.

According to GSM Arena, a branding image leaked by noted tipster Evan Blass showed that there will be three variants of the upcoming Samsung lineup. Reportedly, a simultaneous release is planned for the base model Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, and Galaxy S7 Edge+.

Meanwhile, the industry follower noted that missing in the listing is one version, the regular-screened, XL-sized Galaxy S7+. The report also mentioned that Samsung might be planning to release the Galaxy S7+ later in the year, alongside another premium flagship, the Galaxy Note 6.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that Samsung is planning at least two chipsets for the Galaxy S7 lineup, with each version to be released depending on location. In an earlier report by SamMobile, supposed benchmark scores for the Galaxy S7 appeared online, and a specs sheet listed the new Snapdragon 820 processor and Samsung's homegrown Exynos 8890 chipset.

Other rumored specs of the Galaxy S7 lineup include a ClearForce display for pressure-sensitivity, multiple versions of the flagship iterations such as 3-GB and 4-GB RAM variants, a more powerful dual-cam ISOCELL camera assembly, the return of water-resistance and microSD card support features, and Android 6.0 right out of the box.

In addition, it is also rumored that Samsung is planning to unveil the new flagship early this year, possibly at the Mobile World Congress next month.
