Following the Samsung Galaxy S9 launch at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 last February, several reports have already surfaced regarding the South Korean tech giant's next premium gadget. Based on Samsung's usual scheme every year, a next-generation Galaxy Note phablet is expected to arrive next. So far, the latest scoop from a benchmark result listing hints that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be powered by Exynos 9815 chipset.

Earlier this year, a couple of leaks have appeared online teasing the specs and featured of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Last week, the latest Geekbench benchmark listing shows that the Galaxy Note 8 successor will boast an Exynos 9815 processor under the hood. There are no details to reveal the latest Exynos chip's improvements over its predecessor, although the benchmark results are impressive. For one, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9's Exynos 9815 chipset yields a single-core score of 5,162 and a multi-core score of 10,704.

It was previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will highlight a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, given that the Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphones are also powered by the same high-end mobile chipset. However, the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy Note 9 will be only available in the United States and China, whereas the rest of the international market will get the Exynos-powered model.

An earlier Geekbench results for the Snapdragon 845 Note 9 model shows a single-core score of 2,190 and a multi-core score of 8,806. If these values are to be believed, the Exynos 9815 variant will be more superior. In fact, the recent benchmark results of the Galaxy Note 9 leave behind the scores garnered by Apple's current A11 processor.

Aside from the Exynos 9815 chipset, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is also reported to receive 8GB of RAM. The handset will run the latest Android 8.1.0 out of the box, plus there is an option for the users to upgrade to the next Android P update. Unfortunately, there are also previously rumored features that may no longer be included in the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, including an in-display fingerprint reader technology and an enhanced fast-charging solution.
