After the launch of Samsung's top-tier devices this year, the focus of the South Korean tech giant is now on the mid-range collection. According to the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy A 2018 series will receive the defining elements of the high-end Galaxy S8 and Note 8 handsets, specifically the Infinite Display. Recently, a leaked case render of the Galaxy A5 (2018) confirms the smartphone's full view display.

As reported by GSMArena, leaked photos of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) have surfaced online, showing possible four color variants of the mid-range handset. However, the highlight of the leaks is the front display having an 18:9 screen ratio. This display proportion suits the Infinite Display feature from the flagship Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones, further supporting the claim that the next Galaxy A5 will sport the same all-screen front design.

Another feature spotted in the case leaks is the fingerprint sensor of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018), although the position of the biometric reader will be quite different compared to the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8. While the fingerprint sensor is still located at the rear panel, it will be just underneath the camera module. According to NDTV, this placement will make the sensor easer to reach by the user's finger compared to when it is placed off-center. Still, there is a chance that the camera lens will get smudged as the fingerprint reader is close.

Leaks also show that the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) will have rounded corners, which is closer in appearance to the flagship devices' smooth edges. For now, it is not expected that the new Galaxy A5 will receive dual-lens camera setup, sticking with the single camera module. The right portion of the mid-range handset includes the power button, and the left panel houses the volume adjusters.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018), plus the other mid-tier A7 smartphone, is expected to be unveiled at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) in January next year.
