Universal Studios Japan, one of the country's modern tourist destinations, recently announced the lineup for its upcoming 2018 project "Universal Cool Japan," and Naoko Takeuchi's popular "Sailor Moon" will be one of the top attractions.

UCJ, which is marketing itself as a unique world where Japan's entertainment brands come to life, already has many anime enthusiasts — or the "Otaku" — licking their lips in anticipation of the theme park's opening.

The announcement regarding "Sailor Moon's" UCJ involvement was actually made way back in September, but no major details were included at the time, such as whether there will be actual rides or when it will be available to the public.

This month's announcement, however, revealed all that information, and then some.

The "Sailor Moon" attraction will be a 4D theater show called "Sailor Moon the Miracle 4D" which will include onscreen visuals accompanied by other special effects such as Wind, Water and Light.

To further give diehard fans a first-hand experience of what it would feel like living in the "Sailor Moon" universe, USJ will be preparing a special menu like the food and drinks featured in the anime.

The menu items consist of dishes that are heavily based on the character, such as "The Sailor Moon Café Plate" that has a moon-shaped croissant and "Sailor Moon Compact Cheese Cake," which is modeled after Moon's transformation brooch. The lemon soda's cup even sports the heroine's costume.

In addition to these, fans will also be given the chance to pose as their favorite sailor scouts in a special booth while holding aloft the heroines' signature weapons.

The special menu and the photo booth will be available starting Jan. 19, 2018 while fans might have to wait a bit longer for the Miracle 4D ride as the attraction will be available on March 16 until June 24, 2018.
