The CW's dark teen drama series, "Riverdale," has never failed to leave its audience in awe for its surprising twists. Season 2 has been complicated so far for the teenage lead players, Archie (KJ Apa), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Betty (Lily Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse), but things are about to get even more tense in episode 14 as there will be some sort of partner switching going on.
"Riverdale" season 2 episode 14 promo reveals that the group is headed to a weekend retreat in the woods. The teaser shows the two couples getting cozy around the cabin, but knowing how unpredictable this show can be, fans should not let their guards down for a shocker.
For one, the sneak peek teases Veronica approaching Judghead and suddenly kissing the latter. It appears that the steamy pool has made everyone's emotions heated up, although the reason behind Veronica and Jughead locking lips is still uncertain. Meanwhile, Archie and Betty are seen in the background while watching their partners exchanging kisses, and their facial expression tells that they are also very much surprised as the fans.
Trouble really finds a way to haunt the teens as the episode 14 promo teaser also shows the return of Dark Betty, complete with her BDSM outfit and black wig. It is not clear how Betty's alter-ego was triggered, although it is certain that someone is going to receive a punishment from her. Aside from that, there are two mysterious men having a fight near the cabin where Archie's squad is staying, and it wouldn't be surprising if this incident will involve the teens in some way.
Archie, Veronica, Betty and Jughead have a lot on their plate, including the issues with the Lodge family and the murder scene inside the Cooper residence. A few days of staycation in the woods probably won't fix all their problems, although the characters need a moment to relax after everything they have gone through in season 2.
"Riverdale" season 2 will enter a month-long hiatus to give way to the 2018 Winter Olympics. With this, episode 14 will air on March 7th at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
