Shelby (Johanna Braddy) is hard at work in the CIA, but she will soon find someone to love in season 2 of "Quantico." Meanwhile, it appears that the terrorist group will be killing someone from the team soon.

At the PaleyFest 2016 last September, Braddy revealed that her character will be finding a new love interest soon in "Quantico" season 2.

"There's definitely a new romance, yes, and it's completely different type of relationship than Caleb," Braddy told the International Business Times in an interview.

She described the that her relationship with the mystery guy is "not so youthful," which pointed to speculations that Shelby will be getting intimate with another older guy. This is not much of a shock since last season in "Quantico," Shelby ended up having a relationship with Caleb's (Graham Rogers) father, Clayton (Mark Pellegrino), who was the head of the FBI then.

Braddy also said that her new mystery lover is someone that might have already been introduced in the show before, and that this new romance will be strengthening her character, just like how her relationship with Clayton affected her.

"I think that situation is really what I've drawn upon because I think a woman in that position, you could so easily crumble. Or you just have to come back like fierce and thick-skinned, so that's the route we decided to go this year," explained Braddy.

While Shelby is gaining a new lover, the team will be losing a new member soon. Executive producer Josh Safran shared with Entertainment Weekly, "Grievous bodily harm comes to one of our major characters in the first third of the season."

Safran said that they were worried about going too far by killing off a major character, but they were able to pull it off.

"Quantico" season 2 airs every Sunday at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
