French midfielder Yohan Cabaye might be returning to England after expressing his desire to be back in the Premier League following his departure from Newcastle United back in January 2014 when he was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £19 million.
Cabaye struggled to find significant playing time with PSG fighting for minutes against midfielders Marco Verratti, Thiago Motta and Blaise Matuidi.
Because of this the 29-year-old only had 13 starts in Ligue 1 matches last season and a total of 22 since leaving Newcastle.
In an interview with French newspaper L'Equipe, the 29-year-old spoke about staying with PSG and his desire to be back in the Premier League.
"Not really. I know that if I stay, whatever I'll do, nothing will change," Cabaye answered when asked if he plans to stay with PSG.
"If there is an opportunity to go back to England, I hope everyone will be smart enough to do things well. But there could be other destinations," he added.
Cabaye recently played for France in a friendly Sunday where they loss to Belgium 4-3.
In his plan to return to the Premier League, Cabaye is reportedly drawing interest from Crystal Palace and West Ham.
Cabaye also said in the interview with L'Equipe that it would be great to reunite with Alan Pardew who was the manager of Newcastle while he was still in the Premier League and is currently the manager of Crystal Palace.
"It went very well with him [last time]. If I have to make that decision, it will be a pleasure to see my old coach. I enjoy it with him and he does a great job," Cabaye said.
"I am in a situation today where I am not getting the game time that I was hoping for. The important thing is that I will think carefully and make the best decision. We will see how it evolves in the coming weeks," he added.
Along with Crystal Palace and West Ham, Arsenal who tried to acquire Cabaye before his move to PSG, is also interested in him.
