'Pokémon Go' tips, tricks and cheats: More chances to catch Raid Bosses

Mewtwo can be caught in "Pokemon Go's" EX Raids feature. Niantic

The latest update to "Pokémon Go" fixes a bug that has been preventing players from getting Premier Balls.

According to Comic Book, developer Niantic has adjusted the rule for "Damage" bonus, which could in turn help players catch Raid Bosses.

In "Pokémon Go" Raids, players must accomplish certain milestones during battles to earn bonus Premier Balls, which can then be used to catch Raid Bosses.

Niantic never explained how each bonus is earned and there was one bonus in particular that had been very confusing. The Damage bonus, which players initially thought was given out to players who have done the most damage to Raid Bosses, was apparently reset if a player's entire team of pocket monsters faints. Meaning, it does not matter how much damage players do, as long as they still have at least one Pokémon standing after a battle.

As a result, players started using Pokémon with high hit points and low attack statistics, like Snorlax and Blissey, that would help anchor their team and ultimately give them a better chance at getting a Damage bonus.

However, some players noticed a change on their Damage bonuses in the past week. They are now receiving Damage bonuses even when their entire team fainted during the battle. Some have posted control videos to prove that the confusing bonus now depends on how much damage a player does during Raids.

If this update is true, then players can now stop using "anchor" Pokémon that don't really do a lot of damage when battling Raid Bosses.

As Niantic fixes one bug, another one arrives. Game Rant reported that the "Pokémon Go" Exclusive Raid Invite system is broken. It said the exclusive event has become even more selective, inviting only players who have participated in a raid before.

The original rule was that a player could take part in only one Ex Raid. However, several players reported that they have been getting four or five invites to join.

Niantic has yet to comment on the presumed bug.
