"Pokemon GO" seems to be trying to shake things up for players, and Niantic has been quite busy in the past few weeks. After all, its Halloween event received a lot of positive feedback from its fanbase, and now Niantic has announced that the next update will feature daily bonuses, the sixth Pokemon migration, and the alteration of the potential rewards for hatching Pokemon eggs.

However, according to the BGR, the most exciting feature for the "Pokemon GO" update is the decrease of the spawn rate of common Pokemon. The information was revealed by the official "Pokemon Go" Twitter account, which said that Pidgey and Rattata no longer hatch from incubating eggs.

Also, Eevee can now be hatched from 5km eggs instead of 10km eggs. Furthermore, other Pokemon will now be encountered where Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat were previously more commonly found.

This certainly addresses some of the most common complaints from "Pokemon GO" players, since it has always boggled them why Eevee should take up a slot in the 10km egg rewards. With the update, players can now rest easy that they will not be getting the common Pokemon Eevee after walking a total of 10km.

Also, the removal of Pidgey and Rattata from 2km eggs means that there will be more chances for the starter Pokemon to appear, as they also hatch from these egg types.

Pokemon Go Informer says that with the reduction of the above-mentioned Pokemon spawn rates, other Pokemon will spawn more frequently in order to maintain the current spawn volume. As such, overall the update certainly is good, since it does seem that Niantic is finally ready to listen to their fanbase.

The only trade off is that, since Pidgeys are not as common as they were before, it will be harder to mass-evolve them when using the Lucky Egg.
