Developer Bluehole has deployed test servers for PC 1.0 of the multiplayer online battle royale video game "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds." The new update adds vaulting and climbing gameplay mechanics. Following the testing of the update, the developer will announce the official launch date for the patch.

The new patch will allow players to jump over walls, climb windows and hop from one platform to another. The new mechanics will make players more agile as they engage in battles.

Other than vaulting and climbing, Bluehole also improved the capacity of ballistics. According to the developers, they aim to introduce a more realistic feel to the game.

Projectiles will now be affected by air resistance and gravity. Meanwhile, the bullet drag will now take effect and will result in bullets losing its velocity over time.

Other than the ballistics overhaul, there are also changes to other game elements. All weapons are now going to be reasonably accurate up to medium range including submachineguns. Zeroing will also be active as a parameter of sight attachment.

The automatic 50 percent penalty of damages to any part of the limb is also altered. Now, the volume of damage will be differentiated according to the space between the damage and the chest. So, if the damage is closer to the chest there will be more damage. The neck will also be protected by the helmet.

Vehicle driving will also be modified to replicate a more realistic driving experience. The capacity of the user interface in the inventory screen will also be improved.

Gamers are excited about the upcoming patch based on comments posted on the Steam website.

"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" received an initial score 9 out of 10 from IGN. The game will depart from the Early Access phase before the end of 2017.
