During the fourth season of "Orange Is the New Black," viewers saw the sudden death of Poussey (Samira Wiley). Unfortunately, Daya (Dascha Polanco) did not take this lightly, and it is now speculated that she could be on the road for vengeance when season 5 premieres next year.

As per Travelers Today, Daya already may have attempted to kill those she holds responsible for the death of Poussey during the season 4 finale. It is possible that she will be taking this one step further and go on a rampant campaign of vengeance in season 5.

In order to succeed, the report indicates that Taystee (Danielle Brooks) may be there to help her. It is unclear if Taystee is entirely on Daya's side or if they even have the same ideals regarding Poussey's death, but given how they have stuck together since the beginning, it is likely Taystee will be there for Daya.

University Herald also reports that Daya and Taystee are not the only ones that could get in trouble for trying to fight for Poussey. There are also indications that Piper (Taylor Schilling) may meet her end as well. The actress who portrays Piper, Schilling, is also reported to be completely unaware regarding whether or not her character may survive.

However, "Orange Is the New Black" has been renewed for several more season, with the series reaching up to season 7. This may indicate that Piper is going to make it out alive during season 5. It is also important to note that Piper is based on a real person, who also wrote the autobiography that the series is based on, and she is still alive and well.

No official premiere date for "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 has been announced. Season 1 premiered in July 2013, and all subsequent seasons premiered in June. It is now likely that season 5 is going to premiere by June or July 2017 if the show will remain consistent with the launch of previous seasons.
