The previous chapter of "One Piece" manga featured an intense showdown between Luffy and Katakuri. It appears that Luffy has finally adapted to the attacks of Big Mom's top lieutenant, but more work has to be done in order to defeat the menacing villain for good. Meanwhile, the upcoming "One Piece" chapter 884 will shift the focus to Sanji and Pudding, who are working on a wedding cake in hopes to stop Big Mom from her madness.
As reported by Inquisitr, "One Piece" chapter 884 will see Sanji creating a special wedding cake for Big Mom. It appears that Sanji is taking his baked creation very seriously, especially that the wedding cake might be the only way that he can save his fellow Straw Hat pirates. Sanji and Pudding will be met with challenges in baking the cake, first being Big Mom's fourth son, Oven, causing trouble as he takes down Pound in the Seducing Woods.
Sanji believes that letting Big Mom eat a delicious cake will make the fearsome pirate calm down, and perhaps stop her from pursuing the Straw Hat pirates. If Big Mom's sweet tooth is satisfied, then it is possible that she will order her crew to let the Straw Hat escape from the Cake Island.
Meanwhile, fans will also see the aftermath of the last chapter's battle between Luffy and Katakuri. As per Comic Book, Luffy's attack finally revealed the real appearance of Katakuri to everyone. To recall, the villain launched a deadly assault with his mochi mirror to finish Luffy, but the hero managed to escape from the Mirror Dimension. As Katakuri needed additional power to fight, he went into hiding to eat huge doughnuts without putting his mask on. Luffy was just in time to blow down Katakuri's hiding place, exposing his real face.
From this scene, Luffy will learn more about Katakuri's weakness. In "One Piece" chapter 884, it is expected that Luffy will try to annoy Katakuri, as the latter seems to lose his evasion ability when he is angry. He can predict the next move of his opponent only when Katakuri has his emotion in control, and Luffy can use this information to finally defeat the villain.
