"One Piece" chapter 882 is not yet expected to arrive this week, but the long wait will be worth it for the manga readers as the intense battle between Luffy and Katakuri is expected to have a surprising twist. Katakuri, who is ordered by Big Mom to finish off the Straw Hat pirates, may finally meet his match as Luffy undergoes an "awakening."
According to the latest spoilers provided by Inquisitr, Luffy will experience an awakening in "One Piece" chapter 882, thus increasing his chances in defeating Katakuri. To recall the previous episodes, Luffy had a hard time matching with Katakuri's power level. After all, the latter would not be Big Mom's most fearsome commander if not for his unbelievable power. This time around, Luffy is rumored to turn the tide to his favor as the Straw Hat leader increases his skills and techniques within a short time.
Furthermore, Luffy will be much more confident and secured in "One Piece" chapter 882 as he will learn from the broken mirror that Nami and the rest of his pirate crew are safe. Upon knowing the condition of the Straw Hat pirates, Luffy will destroy the broken mirror and declare to Katakuri that he will not die inside Brulee's mirror world. Instead, Luffy will threaten Katakuri that the end is near for the latter.
Aside from undergoing an awakening wherein the power level and techniques will be greatly enhanced, there are speculations that Luffy will instead unlock the new Gear 5 technique. If this happens, the Gear 5 technique will be much more damaging than Luffy's current Gear 4 attack. Although, some fans doubt that Luffy will be able to learn an all-new Gear technique in just a short span of time. It is possible, however, that Luffy will use a new form of Gear 4 technique in "One Piece" chapter 882 to defeat Katakuri.
"One Piece" chapter 882 will not yet be released this week, according to Mobipicker. The hiatus is expected to last until next week, as the latest chapter featuring Luffy and Katakuri's showdown will be out on Oct. 23.
