'Once Upon a Time' season 5 spoilers: Robbie Kay talks about Pan returning

"Once Upon a Time" will return this March with its 100th episode featuring a whole bunch of characters that were long dead. One of those who will make an appearance in the kingdom of Hades is Pan, played by Robbie Kay, and the actor has something to say about his comeback.

Speaking to the Comic Book Resources, Kay, whose character was last seen in season 3, expressed that he loved working on the fairytale-based series and thought that it was "cool" to return as the villainous Peter Pan.

"It was cool to come back into it for a little bit and see the old faces with the crew and hang out with the cast again. It was fun to get back into the shoes of that character after two years," Kay said.

Given that showrunner Edward Kitsis had already explained that the Underworld is not Hell, but rather a place where souls stay because of some unfinished business, one would wonder what Pan's unfinished business could be.

Will the lost boy from the twisted Neverland be different now that he's in the Underworld? Kay doesn't think so. He revealed that Pan's "selfish intentions are still very much there."

"He's always going to try and find an angle, try and manipulate people into doing things that will eventually benefit him. When we return for the 100th, you'll be seeing a fair bit of that," the actor explained.

Given that Pan is likely to return with his manipulative behavior in Hades' kingdom, speculations are rife that he might target one or some of the characters already confirmed to be featured in the Underworld.

Will Pan team up with Cora (Barbara Hershey) and start another evil agenda in the new realm? It remains to be seen just how many episodes Kay's character will be featured in when the show returns for the second half of the season.

Fans will just have to wait and see when "Once Upon a Time" season 5 returns on Mar. 6 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
