The survival video game "No Man's Sky" faced a lot of backlash from players who were disappointed with the game when it was released. Now, it seems Hello Games, the developers of the said title, are making efforts to remedy the issues that gamers had.

As noted by Eurogamer, "No Man's Sky" had a rocky launch when it released for the PC, but several updates have been released, fixing many of the glaring problems with the PC port. The patches have also improved the mod support, allowing community-made additions and features to game more accessible.

The first patch that was released reportedly fixed a problem that prevented the game from detecting Intel GPU cards as well as framerate stuttering caused by shader caching. Alt-Tab functions have been improved, and support has been added for the AMD Phenom. A glitch corrupting save files has also been addressed.

A second patch has been released, and this reportedly fixes a glitch that causes the game to crash after warping. It also addressed a glitch that stopped players from being able to save their game until they died. Players who also crashed warping in a freighter or got stuck under a planet also found relief as these issues were also addressed.

The third patch fixed issues where players would get stranded at a station, and it also worked around the issue of loading a corrupted save file.

With the 1.08 patch, full mod support has been implemented for the PC. A report from Express has pointed out some of the most popular mods, and one of which is the Missile Mod which replaces a ship's photon cannon with a missile launcher. Another popular mod is the Dark Warp mod which removes the bright lights of interstellar travel and replaces it with a more soothing dimness.

Other mods improve the game's atmospheric tone by creating a realistic aesthetic of space. This mod, known as the Immersive Space mod, makes outer space pitch-black, dotted only by a few nebulae.

Eurogamer points out that patches have also been released for the PlayStation 4 version of the game, although the changes, improvements, and additions are different from what has been implemented on the PC version.
